Program Description
Adult BJJ at 982 Combat Academy is for everyone from first-day beginners to experienced hobbyists and active competitors. Whether you want to get in shape, learn practical skills, compete, or simply find something that challenges you, there is a place for you on our mats.
We offer both gi and no-gi classes to help you build a well-rounded game. Gi training develops control, grips, technique, and patience, while no-gi emphasizes movement, positioning, pressure, and timing. Training both gives you the opportunity to develop a broader, more adaptable approach to jiu-jitsu.
Every class combines thoughtful instruction, focused drilling, and live training so you can understand the technique and learn to apply it. Our coaches meet students where they are while helping them continue to progress, whether that means becoming more comfortable on the mat, developing a new part of their game, or preparing for competition.
Gi & No-Gi Training
Train both styles so you are never one-dimensional. Build control, movement, and the ability to adapt under pressure.

Brand new or seasoned, you are coached at your level from the first round. Beginners are never thrown to the deep end alone.
Live Rounds & Feedback
Live training gives you the opportunity to put what you’ve learned into practice against a resisting partner. Rounds are matched to your experience and ability, giving you space to experiment, problem-solve, and develop your game at an appropriate pace.
Competition Jiu-Jitsu
For students who want to compete, we offer focused training designed to prepare you for the demands of competition. You’ll sharpen your technique, develop strategy and match awareness, and train with purpose alongside teammates who will push and support you. Whether you’re preparing for your first tournament or are an experienced competitor, our coaches will help you build a game plan and step onto the competition mat prepared.
